ARCHIE WALDO IS
DEAD AT AGE OF 51
Hold Funeral Rites
Monday at Rock Branch

Funeral services for Archie Waldo,
51. owner and operator of the
Le Mars cafe who died Friday
night at a hospital after long illness,
were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at
the Rock Branch Methodist
church.

Burial was in Fairfield cemetery
at Rock Branch under direction of
the Walter funeral home of
Anthon.

Mr. Waldo was born April 19,
1912 near Rock Branch. When
a boy he moved to Illinois and in
1944 returned with his family to
Rock Branch.

He came to Le Mars about one
and one-half years ago and purchased
the cafe from Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Hoeck.

He married Irene McCreight
April 12, 1942 at Sunbean, III. He
was a member of the Methodist
church.

Survivors besides the widow are
a son and daughter, Le Roy and
Leola, both of Le Mars, and a sis-
ter, Mrs. Ralph Sadler of Correctionville.

~NOTE: Name is actually Elton Archie Waldo but apparently he was called Archie. He’s buried in Fairfield Cemetery near Correctionville, Iowa.
