Raymond A. Manning, 78, 509 First St.
SE, died Sunday at Floyd Valley hospital
after an illness of two years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10
a.m. at St. James Catholic church with
Rev. John Turza officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under
direction of the Luedtke Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home after
2 p.m. Monday. Parish rosary will be said at
8 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Manning was born March 25,1892,
in Union township, a son of the late John
and Caroline Manning.

He married Hazel Sheehan Feb. 5,
1918, at Sioux City. Mr. Manning retired in
1958. He was employed by the Wincharger
Corp. for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter
Eileen Cope; a sister, Ada, and four
brothers, Harry, Edward, John and one in
infancy.

Survivors are his wife Hazel; a daughter,
Evelyn Manning of Washington D.C.; two
sons, John of Arlington, Va., and Gerald of
Le Mars; a brother, LeRoy and 14
grandchildren.
