HOLD AKRON RITES
FOR MARTIN WEME

Funeral services for Martin
Weme, 72, were at 2 p.m. Monday
at the Schroeder funeral
home at Akron.

Rev. David Roy officiated.

Burial was in Union Creek Cemetery
near Akron. (Transcriber Note: This
cemetery is likely west of Akron on
the South Dakota side in Union Co.)

Mr. Weme died Friday evening
at an Iowa City hospital
after a long illness.

He was born July 17, 1894, at
Pukwana, S.D. He lived in Akron
for the last 40 years working
as a farm hand.

There are no known survivors.
