Mrs. Esther L. Gorman, 90, Sioux City, died Wednesday (July 6,1988) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held Friday at St. Michael's Catholic church. The Rev. Jerome Cosgrove officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery at Ellendale, under direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

Mrs. Gorman, the former Esther L. Beaulieu, was born April 10, 1898, in Sioux City. She married Louis Casper Sept. 28, 1921. He died Oct. 30, 1923. She married Edward M. Gorman Sept. 1, 1933, in Ellendale. They operated the gas station in Ellendale for 25 years, retiring in 1958. They moved to Sioux City in 1958. Mr. Gorman died Oct. 16, 1968, in Sioux City.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic church and the Altar Society of the church.

Survivors include a son, Loren Casper of Marietta Hot Springs, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Joan) Sutherland of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Albert and Vernon Beaulieu, both of
Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Cecelia) Vondrak, Mrs. Albert (lona) Schindel and Mrs. Eileen Frisch, all of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Duane Casper in 1959; two brothers, Sylvester and Harold and a sister, Mary De Rocher.
