Eugene J. Bogenreif
HINTON — Eugene J. Bogenreif, 63, of Hinton, died Saturday, Aug. 28,1993, at a Sioux City hospital after he was stricken at home.
Mr. Bogenreif was born Feb. 8, 1930, at Bloomfield, Neb., son of Eugene B. and Ola B. (McCormick) Bogenreif. He grew up in that area and graduated from Bloomfield High School. He married Delores C. Lux on April 24, 1954, at Hartington, Neb. He was a farmer and cattle feeder in the Sioux City and Hinton areas for 39 years. He was an avid hunter.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sioux City.
Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Ronald and Kim of Conde, S.D.; a daughter and her husband, Cheryl and Craig Hart of South Sioux City; two brothers, Jim of Springfield, Ill., and Ray of Cedarburg,Wis.; three sisters, Mary Frances Stark of Laurel, Neb., Kay North of Jefferson, S.D., and Veronica Engelbeck of Roanoke, Texas; six grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Bogenreif, Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory, and a grandson, Phillip Bogenrief.
Services were at 11 a.m. today (Monday) at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sioux City, with Rev. Lawrence L. McCarty officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ellendale. Visitation and parish vigil service were Sunday at the Meyer
Brothers Colonial Chapel, Sioux City.~Source:
