Westfield area resident killed
in Sioux City motorcycle upset

A 19-year-old Sioux City man was
fatally injured Saturday night when his
motorcycle crashed in the 200 block of
highway 75, Sioux City police said.

James M. Ostrihonsky,. 19, route 1,
Sioux City, died at Sioux City St. Luke's
Medical Center, from injuries received
in the accident.

A passenger, Kimberly R. Huffman,
Sioux City, was treated and released
from the hospital.

According to police, the southbound
motorcycle was traveling at an excessive
rate of speed when Ostrihonsky
lost control while negotiating a curve.
The cycle struck a median and
continued another 120 feet before
coming to a stop, police said.

Ostrihonsky was born Sept. 19, 1959,
in Sioux City. He attended high school
at Westfield and was recently
employed by Kraco Co. He was
discharged from the army last March
23.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Richard (Donna) Ostrihonsky and
three brothers, Joseph, Barton and
Burton, all at home; three sisters, Mrs.
Toney (Rashelle) Honeycutt of
Fountain, Colo., Ronette and Toni Lee,
both at home; his maternal
grandmother, Mrs. Emma Haring of
Sioux City and his paternal
grandmother, Mrs. Pauline Provancha
of Morrow, Ga.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in
Meyer Bros. Colonial chapel. Chaplain
Oscar W. Rees of St. Luke's Medical
center will officiate. Burial will be at
Oak Hill cemetery at Anthon.

A prayer service will be held at 7:30
p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
