Scott Schenkelberg, 24, of Watertown,
S.D., formerly of Le Mars, died
(February 21, 1975) in a traffic accident
near Brookings, S.D.

Services were held Monday, Feb.
24 in St. Joseph Catholic church at Le
Mars. The Rev, Msgr. Dean Walker officiated.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery
in Le Mars under the direction
of the Luedtke Funeral home.

Mr. Schenkelberg was born Nov. 9,
1950 at Carroll. The family moved to
Le Mars, and he was graduated from
Gehlen high school in 1969. He enlisted
in the U.S. Army in 1970 and served
one year in Vietnam.

He married Colleen Welch of Akron
December 29, 1973. They moved to
Watertown last month, where he was
employed as a territory salesman for
Gehl Manufacturing Co.

Survivors include the widow; a son
Nick, at home; his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Al Schenkelberg of Le Mars;
two brothers, Allan of Minneapolis,
Minn. and Robert of Le Mars; a sister,
Mrs. Mary Frohardt of Ames and his
paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
William Schenkelberg of Carroll.
