Bammer, John 1837-1922

John Bammer, a pioneer resident of
Iowa, died at his home in Kingsley
last Saturday. He was born in Ireland
March 20, 1837, and came to
America when a child. He located
in Davenport in 1851 and spent most
of his life there going to Kingsley
a few years ago. He is survived by
two sons, S. C. Bammer, of Davenport,
John A. Bammer, of Cherokee,
Mrs. Elizabeth Little and Mrs. Minnie
Preston, of Kingsley. There are
nineteen grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.

Burial was made at the Long Grove
cemetery beside the remains of his
wife.
