Mrs. John J. Vander Schaaf, 49, rural
Westfield, died Friday morning at the
Akron, hospital following a year’s illness.

She was born Oct. 30, 1920, at Le Mars
and lived there until she married John J .
Vander Schaaf June 26, 1938. The couple
moved to rural Westfield.

Survivors are the widower; six sons,
John K. of South Sioux City, David N. of
St. Paul, Michael A. of Sioux City and Paul
J., Russell and Steven, all at home; a sister,
Mrs. Mary Kelly of Sioux City; and seven
grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Berkemier
funeral home, Sioux City.
