DEATH OF OLD RESIDENT
Mrs. Ahern Dies at the Home of Her
Son in Liberty Township

Mrs. Bridget Ahern, one of the old
and well known residents of Liberty
township, died on Sunday after a
week's illness, arising from complications
brought on by old age. The deceased
was born in Ireland, her maiden
name being Bridget Gorman.

When a young girl her parents came
to America. She was born on August
15, 1831, being eighty years of age at
the time of her demise. Since the
death of her husband she has made
her home with a son, John Ahern.

The funeral was held on Tuesday at
the church at Ellendale and was largely
attended by old friends and neighbors
by whom the deceased was held
in the highest esteem. The services
were conducted by Rev. Father Connolly,
of Merrill.
