Max H. Gripp, 70, of Sioux City, died
Monday (July 18, 1977) at a Sioux City
hospital after a three-week illness.

Mr. Gripp was born Oct. 17, 1906, in
Germany. He came to the United States
in 1919, where he settled in Marcus.
He has been a Sioux City resident
since 1943. He married Florence
Carlson in 1930 in South Dakota.
He was a member of Augustana
Lutheran church.

Survivors are his wife; two sons,
Verlin J. of Sioux City and Arlis of
Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers and a sister
in Germany, 11 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday
at the Nelson-Berger Morningside
chapel. Rev. Jim W. Munson of St.
Mark's Lutheran church will officiate.

Burial will be in Memorial Park
cemetery.
