Mrs. George (Rosa Schindel)
Meehan, 75, former longtime Merrill
resident, died unexpectedly at her
home in Palo Alto. Calif., Oct. 13,1975.

The former Rosa Schindel was born
Feb. 5, 1900. on a farm near Merrill to
Jake and Elizabeth Schindel.

Her marriage to Mr. Meehan, an Og-
den dentist. took place in 1925.

Mrs. Meehan lived at Merrill until
her marriage and then resided in Og-
den until her husband's death. She then
returned to Merrill where she taught
school until moving to Palo Alto in 1952.

She had also taught in Ogden.

She was a member of the Methodist
Church.

Relatives here learned that the body
was cremated and the ashes strewn
over the ocean.

Survivors include one son Tom of
Milpites, Calif. and several nieces and
nephews and cousins in this area.

She was preceded in death by her
parents, her husband and three
brothers and a sister.
