IRA STINTON DEAD
AT 90 — FUNERAL
SET HERE SATURDAY
County Resident Since
1873 Was Retired Farmer

Ira S. Stinton, 90, a Plymouth
County resident since 1873,
Died Wednesday at the Plymouth
county home after several
months of illness.

He had been residing at 301 1/2
Cent. Ave. NW and moved to
the county home five days ago .

Funeral services will be at 2
p. m . Saturday at Mauer's
funeral home, Rev. M. L. Straube
of St. John United church will
officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant
Valley cemetery at Adaville.

Mr. Stinton was born April
14, 1870, at Lyons in Clinton
county. After coming to Plymouth
county, he farmed in the
Merrill vicinity until 1937,
when he moved to Le Mars.

His marriage to Grace Hammond
took place Oct. 24, 1906,
at Adaville, She preceded him
in death, as did a son and
daughter, five brothers and
two sisters . He was the last
surviving member of a family
of eight children.

Survivors include two sons,
Bernerd N. of Kelso, Wash.,
and Mainard I. of Le Mars;
nine grandchildren and eight
great - grandchildren .
