MARGARET ALESCH

Mrs. Margaret Alesch, 86, a longtime resident of LeMars died Thursday evening at the LeMars hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Alesch was born November 9, 1871, at Cascade, Ia. She came with her parents to Plymouth County, Ia., at the age of 4 years.

She was married to John Alesch Sr., at Remsen, Ia. He died in 1921.

In 1925, Mrs. Alesch was married to Leo Alesch at LeMars.

Survivors include the widower; five daughters, Mrs. George Schneph and Mrs. A. F. Meis, both of LeMars, Mrs. Joseph Petsch of Geyser, Mont., and Mrs. Franz Braun of Remsen; four sons, Harry and Joseph, both of Marcus, Ia., Lawrence of Alton, Ia., and John, of LeMars; five sisters; a brother; 3? grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LeMars. Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.D. Fisch officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery at Remsen under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home of LeMars.
