Janice Gay (Klemme) Rohlfs, 69, of rural Akron, died suddenly Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Janice G. Klemme was born Nov. 24, 1940, at Akron, the daughter of Walter A. and Clara L. (Heeren) Klemme.
She married Allen D. Rohlfs May 14, 1967 in Akron.
Janice was a great homemaker (domestic engineer) and loved to cook. She enjoyed mowing the lawn with her John Deere riding lawnmower. She loved and thought the world of her two cats, Grey-Chin and Princess.
She enjoyed going to church on Sunday morning and the coffee visits after church. Janice also loved dancing.
She will surely be missed.
Janice will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Allen of Akron, and her son, La Mont of Akron.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Dawn J. Quame will officiate. Burial will follow at the Plymouth Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Akron. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Friday.
