CARL ALBERS

Funeral services for Carl Albers, 87, a longtime resident of the Kingsley vicinity who died Wednesday night at a Sioux City hospital after a three-month’s sickness were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Lutheran Church at Kingsley. Burial was in a Kingsley cemetery under the direction of the Dickinson funeral home.

Mr. Albers was born July 12, 1865, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 17 and had resided in the Holstein and Kingsley communities since. He had made his home with a daughter at Kingsley the last several years.

Surviving are a son, Emil of Kingsley; four daughters, Mrs. Burt Petersen and Mrs. Ida Wink, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Alma King, of Kingsley, and Mrs. Albert Jahn of Paullina, Ia.; a half-brother, P. C. Reickman of Moville; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
