Monnah Hord

Miss Monnah A. I. Hord, 82, who resided at 401 2nd Ave, S. E. in Le Mars, passed away at the county hospital on December 20, 1958 after a sickness which lasted several years. She passed away unexpectedly.

Miss Hord was born April 17, 1876 at Fauquier County, Virginia. She lived several years in Washington D. C. and moved to Le Mars 34 years ago. Her parents were the late A. J. and Virginia Melvin Hord.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 1958 at the Mauer funeral home here with Rev, James Ransom officiating. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Le Mars cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Lucille Hord of Le Mars and Amber, Mrs. H. D. Messinger of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Allen Linwood Hord of Ruckersville, Virginia and Eugene L. Hord of Washington, D. C.; five nieces and 11 nephews.
