Perry Lynn Presuhn, 62, of Remsen, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.

Perry was born May 6, 1947, at Le Mars, the son of Charles and Ruth (Hansen) Presuhn. Perry was raised in the Remsen area and received his education at Remsen-Union Community School.

During his high school years he played drums with his brother Randy and friends in their band the Rem-Dels.

He married Nancy Haack on July 2, 1966. From this union three children were born: Shelia, Angela and Jason.

He enjoyed building and riding motorcycles. He also loved to play cards, garden, going fishing and dancing. He enjoyed his morning coffee crew, and gathering and visiting with all his close friends.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen.

Survivors include: two daughters, Shelia Vannest and her husband Rick and her children Kayla and Austin, all of Ponca City, Okla., and Angela Newland and her husband Rory and their child, Amber, all of Ponca City, Okla.; one son, Jason Presuhn, of Le Mars, and his children Joshua, Jessica, Jacob and Malaki.; one brother, Randy and Jane Presuhn and his children, Shane and Troy, all of Le Mars; and his special friends, Mina Brandt, Marvin Brandt and Dale Weiler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lamont, and one sister, Shannon both in infancy.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen, with the Rev. Dennis Martens officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen Community Cemetery. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. today (Thursday) with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume Friday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Come as you are, dad wouldn't want it any other way.

Casket Bearers will be Jim Hansen, Shane and Troy Presuhn, Chad Hansen, Rory Newland and Jerry Haack.
