Jacob B. Ruedy

Jacob B. Ruedy, 73, Merrill, died at Floyd Valley hospital, Monday after a short illness. He had been hospitalized for five days.

Mr. Ruedy was born Sept. 26, 1895, in Merrill, the son of the late John and Augusta Kress Ruedy. He was a machine operator and lathe and drill press operator at Wincharger before his retirement. He had lived in Sioux City, Le Mars, and Merrill.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mauer funeral chapel, Le Mars. Rev. Dean Walker will officiate and burial will be in Merrill Hillside cemetery.

Survivors are six sisters, Mrs. Anne Albright, Merrill; Mrs. Ida Briegel, Eureka, Calif.; Mrs. Catherine Penne, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Albright and Mrs. Frank (Mathilda) Sudmeyer, all of Le Mars, and Mrs. Clara Gibbs, Sioux City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry and George.
