Life's end
MRS. LOUIS HALWEG DIES UNEXPECTEDLY AT HOSPITAL HERE
Mrs. Louis (Tena) Halweg, 62, route 4, Le Mars, died Tuesday at Floyd Valley hospital of an apparent heart attack.
She was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon by the Luken-Johnson ambulance after being stricken at her home.
Tena Christine Kruse, the daughter of John and Johanna (Keemts) Kruse, was born May 23, 1905, in Plymouth county. She had been a lifelong resident of the county.
Her marriage to Louis Halweg took place Sept. 26, 1923, in Le Mars.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran church, Craig. Rev. Ernest Christensen will officiate and burial will be in the Craig Lutheran cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Survivors are her husband, Louis of rural Le Mars; a son, Leonard of Craig; three daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Darlene) Jeppson of Bancroft, Mrs. Wallace (Dorothy) Sorensen of Lawton and Janet Halweg of Le Mars; eight grandchildren; a great grandchild, and three sisters, Mrs. Herman (Ida) Halweg of Le Mars, Mrs. George (Flora) Renken, Sioux City, and Mrs. Fred (Johanna) Haage, Craig.
She was a member of the Lutheran church and church women's groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister
