February 21, 1913John Wetrosky, one of the old residents, died at his home in Lincoln
township on February 15, 1913. The deceased was a native of Bohemia and was
born at Prague on June 14, 1838. He homesteaded on the place where he died,
in 1873. He was united in marriage on December 12, 1866, with Anna Vonderska
and to this union six children were born, who are Mrs. Mary Mathwig, Mrs.
Anna Aalfs, Mrs. Josie Lang, Frank Wetrosky, Jos. Wetrosky and John
Wetrosky. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren and one great
grandchild.Mr. Wetrosky served as a musician in the Austrian army for thirteen years.
The Funeral services were conducted at the home on Monday, Rev. A. H. Buente
officiating. Many old friends and neighbors gathered to pay the last tribute
of respect to the deceased, who enjoyed the respect and esteem of a large
circle of acquaintances.~TRANSCRIBER NOTE: John Wetrovksy is buried in the WETROVSKY-MATHWIG small rural cemetery.
