Hawarden Independent, Hawarden, Sioux, Iowa, USA July 7, 1977

Henry J. Gellerman, 78, Le Mars, died Monday at his residence following an apparent heart attack.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wed­nesday in St. John's American Lutheran Church, Le Mars. The Rev. Arnold Imbrock and the Rev, William Striepe officiated. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home of Le Mars.

Mr. Gellerman was born Jan. 7, 1899, in Sioux County and has been a Le Mars resident since the early 1930s. He was a retired Plymouth county employee and was a heavy equipment operator for the Plymouth County Road Department.

He married Florence Luiken on March 11 1930, in Elk Point, S.D. She died Nov. 4, 1971. He married
Catherine Ludwigs on June 5 1973, in Le Mars.

He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Earl of Carmichael, Calif, and Bernard of Beresford, S.D.; a daughter, Miss Donna Gellerman of Miami Beach, Fla.; two sisters Miss Anna Gellerman of Hawarden and Miss Sophia Gellerman of Boone; and two grandchildren.
