ROSE C. VERNON
BRUNSVILLE, Iowa—Rose C. Vernon, 85, of Brunsville, died Thursday in a hospital in LeMars after a brief illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brunsville. The Rev. Alfred Walck will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mrs. Vernon, the former Rose C. Luschen, was born Dec. 12, 1899, in Plymouth County and was a lifelong area resident. She married Maurice Vernon in 1917 in Pipestone, Minn. He died in 1957.
Mrs. Vernon was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, ALCW and Brunsville Garden Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Crowley of LeMars and Maxine Mayfield of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
