WILLIAM D. SIEVERS

William D. Sievers, 68, of LeMars, died Friday (Feb. 8, 1985) at the Akron Community Hospital after long illness.

Funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church at LeMars. Rev. David Kramer officiated. Burial was in the Remsen Cemetery at Remsen. On Sunday at the Moeller Funeral Home visitation began at 4 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mr. Sievers was born April 30, 1916, in Remsen to William G. and Dorothea Lindeman Sievers. He graduated from Remsen High School in 1936. He moved to LeMars and worked for Supersweet Feeds. He lived in the Remsen and LeMars areas his entire life. He retired in 1979.

He married Viola Holler in 1945 at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen. She died in 1957. He married Evalyn Petersen June 7, 1959, in St. John’s American Lutheran Church in LeMars.

Survivors are his wife; one son, James of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Aline) Bruck of Defiance; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J. R. (Lyndea) Dew of Waverly; one brother, Dr. Raymond of Bellevue, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Viola Holler Sievers, and a brother, Dr. Linden Sievers.
