LARRY L. DREESZEN
Larry L. Dreeszen, 39, of Hawarden, died Saturday (Nov. 24, 1984) at his residence.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist church. Rev. Paul Hansen officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Akron.
Family visitation was from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Mr. Dreeszen was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Akron. He graduated from Akron High School in 1963. He attended the University of South Dakota at Vermillion for two years. He joined the U. S. Marines in 1966 and served for two years in Vietnam. He was discharged from service in 1970.
He operated a service station in Westfield. He then moved to Hawarden where he operated an Amoco service station for eight years.
He married Beverly Carr Dec. 10, 1978, in LeMars. He was an active member of the South Pit Recreation Club in Hawarden.
Survivors are his wife; two stepsons, Steve and Jeff both of Hawarden; parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dreeszen of Westfield; four brothers, Herb of Harrisburg, S.D., Doug of Beresford, S.D., Ronald of Akron and Mark of Jackson, Neb.
