VERA V. WRIGHT

Vera V. Wright, 84, 6201 Morningside Ave., died Thursday at Countryside Retirement Home after a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Morningside Church of Christ with the Rev. Phil Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Wright, the former Vera V. Morehead, was born Aug. 16, 1901, in Akron, and came to Sioux City in 1925. She married Arthur G. Wright on March 20, 1947. He died July 30, 1975.

She was a member of Morningside Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James (Lois) Bookhart and Mrs. Leatrice Ruhrer, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Duane (Lenice) Gilbertson of Moorhead, Minn.; five stepsons, Arthur D., Raymond G., Jim, Leo, and Andy Wright; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Johnson, Mrs. Harry (Barbara) Cook, Mrs. Norman (Margaret) Eberhard, and Mrs. Bill (Nora) Johnson; two brothers, Lloyd of Akron, and Vernon, of LeMars; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Gertrude) Brown, of Merrill, Iva Jennings and Mrs. Sanford (Marie) Hinzman, both of LeMars; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
