Mrs. Bernard Borchers
Le Mars, Iowa - Mrs. Bernard “Ben” Borchers, 69, of Le Mars died Monday (March 22, 1982) in Le Mars.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. The Rev. A. E. Goldhorn will officiate. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of Maurer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Borchers, the former Alice Wilhelmi, was born November 4, 1912, in Le Mars and was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and seamstress.
She married Bernard Borchers September 2, 1929, in rural Le Mars. He died in 1967.
She was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ, and the Presbyterian Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Harlan of Le Mars; eight daughters, Mrs. Robert (Belva) Gaffey, Verla, Vikki and Jodine, all of Le Mars, Mrs. Janice Meyers of California, Mrs. Velda Alt of Dubuque, and Veronica and Gayle, both of Sioux City; two sister, Mrs. Lillian Kruse of Cherokee and Mrs. Catherine Hine of Haxtun, Colorado; 14
