JOHN WERLEY
John G. Werley, of Struble, passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars, January 12, 1953, following a sickness of four months. He was 83 years, 8 months and 16 days of age.
Mr. Werley was born April 26, 1869, in Illinois. He came to Plymouth County in 1888 and settled near Struble. He has since lived in that community.
On November 8, 1939, he was united in marriage with Helena Heeren in LeMars. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home and at 2:30 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church. Rev. M. L. Straube will officiate and burial will be in the City cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Helena Werley; and three brothers, Henry Werley of Heron Lake, Minn.; Will Werley of Struble; and Charles Werley of LeMars; one sister, Mrs. Geo. Lang, of LeMars; and 8 step-children, Louis Heeren of Hawarden, Otto, of Newport, Washington; Mrs. Olga Bogh, of LeMars; Mrs. Cora Neil of Omaha; Mrs. Lillian of Wayne, Neb.; Mrs. F. B. Rockwell of Grand Island, Nebraska; Henry Heeren of __tchberg, Miss.; and Walter Heeren of Santa Monica, California.
Friends may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home Wednesday from afternoon until time of services Thursday.
