Bernadine E Meins, 77, of Vermillion, South Dakota, and formerly of he Hawarden, Iowa, area died on Monday, September 12, 1994, at the Dakota Hospital in Vermillion.

Services were scheduled for 1:309 .m. on Wednesday afternoon, September 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, where she was a member, the Reverend Loren Vogler officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery art Akron, Iowa, under the direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Meins, the former Bernadine Muth, was born June 7, 1914, in rural Sioux County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Baumgartner) Muth. She married Otto Meins on February 20, 1941, at Ireton, Iowa, and the couple farmed in the Hawarden area. Mr. Meins died August 13, 1990. Mrs. Meins moved to Vermillion in September of 1993.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Larry and Clarene of Vermillion, and Jerry and Margene of Missouri City, Texas; two sisters, Melba (Mrs. John ) Bultman of Akron and Fern (Mrs. Lorentz) Opdahl of Hudson, South Dakota; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Russell Muth, an infant brother and a sister, Donna Brown.
