DEATH CLAIMS MRS. P. H. BOEVER
Mother of Martin Boever and Mrs. John Schmidt of Alton Dies

Mrs. Catherine Boever died July 3, at her home at LeMars after a long illness, death being caused by a stroke of paralysis. She was born at Aurora, Ill., July 1, 1857, her maiden name being Catherine Wengler. She was married to Philip Boever at that place January 15, 1878, and shortly after they moved to Plymouth County, settling on a farm in Elgin township. In 1910 they established their home in LeMars. Mr. Boever died eight years ago. Of the eleven children born to them, seven survive as follows:

Misses Catherine and Lena, at home; Martha, of Alton; Mrs. M. Helbach, of Elmer, N. J.; John of Struble; Jacob of LeMars; and Mrs. J. J. Schmidt, of Alton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, LeMars, and attended by a host of old neighbors and friends.
