Lorin Dale Edmunds, 57, of rural Hawarden died suddenly Tuesday evening, May 9, 1989, in the Hawarden hospital.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Loren Vogler officiating. Military burial services by the American Legion, of Brunsville were held at Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dallas Huebner, Clarence Bockelman, Cecil Horton, Darold Bultman, John Orton, and Vincent Ronsiek.
Mr. Edmunds was born June 5, 1931, in Hawarden. He served in the U,. S., Army from 1953 to February 1955, serving 13 months in Korea., After the armed services, he farmed for a short time with his father. On June 7, 1958, he married Lorraine K. Falk in Hawarden. The couple purchased a farm and farmed until 1971 when Mr. Edmunds became disabled following brain surgery and again in 1985. Mr. Edmunds was a very true farmer at heart and loved living on the farm even though he was disabled from doing many things.
Mr. Edmunds was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion at Brunsville.
Survivors include this wife, Loraine; two sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Carmen) Green, of Hawarden, and Mrs. Edna Garner of Imperial, Ca; nephews and nieces.
