Merrill, Plymouth, Iowa, - Myrtle Matilda Doering, 90 of Merrill, died Friday, December 13, 1991 at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in LeMars.
Services will be 1:30 pm Monday, at the St. John American Lutheran Church in Merrill, with the Rev Frank Philipp officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, rural Merrill. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday with family present 6-8 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Mrs. Doering the former Myrtle Matilda Utesch, was born May 2, 1901 in Johnson Township, the daughter of Paul and Louise (Jans) Utesch. She married George Halweg June 6, 1919; Tom Bogner May 3, 1953, and Alfred Doering Sept 1, 1962. She was a homemaker and had worked for Aalfs's Mananufacturing and Wincharger.
She was a member of the St. John American Lutheran Church and the Women of the EICA.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband Larry and Carol Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandsons, Jeff and his wife Cindy Johnson and Mark Johnson all of Omaha, a great-granddaughter, Emily Rose of Omaha
In additon to her three husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Jahn and Mamie Halweg and three brothers, Charles, Ed and William
