FRANK DEAN RITES SUNDAY
Long Time Resident West LeMars Dies Following Short Sickness

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Mauer’s Funeral Home for Frank, who passed away Thursday at his home in West LeMars. Rev. T.C. Seibert of Akron officiated and interment was made in the City Cemetery.

Frank Dean was born on June 10, 1850, at Andrew, Iowa, in Jackson county and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Dean. He came to Plymouth county in 1887 and had lived in this vicinity since that time. On April 17, 1888 deceased was united in marriage to Emma Steffen. Mr. Dean made his livelihood as a carpenter and farmer. Ten days ago he suffered a stroke and death came Thursday at the age of 83 years.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Howard, of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Frederick Nichol, of Yuma, Colo., and Mrs. John Robertson, of Akron; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Isham of Rochester, Minnesota. Two grandsons and one granddaughter are in the Service.
