MARY LANCASTER

Mrs. Mary Louise Lancaster, formerly Plymouth County resident, passed away at a hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota, on Sunday, April 11, at the age of 79 years. She had been sick for the past several years.

Mary Louise Young was born at Wells, Minnesota, on January 9, 1875. She came to Plymouth County as a young lady. On September 19, 1900, she was united in marriage with Chris Lancaster of Seney. They resided in this vicinity until 1912, when they moved to a farm near Mitchell. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Lancaster made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Marceline Riggert, at Mitchell.

Survivors include one son, Gordon Lancaster; a daughter, Mrs. Marceline Riggert; and one grandson, Marlowe Lancaster, all of Mitchell. Also one granddaughter, Mrs. Maxine Gomez of Oakland, California, two brothers, Fred Young of Minnesota and George Young of Beloit, Wisconsin. Deceased was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Marion, and a granddaughter, Geraldine Riggert.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Noble Funeral home in Mitchell. Burial was in the Mitchell cemetery.

Those from the LeMars vicinity attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy McArthur, Mrs. Louis Penning and Mrs. Margaret Rees.
