Beverly Sams-Neary, 59, of Omaha, Neb., died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at her home.

Beverly was born Sept. 7, 1949, the daughter of Everett Sams and Rosemary (Van Voorst) Sams. Beverly grew up in Le Mars and later moved to Omaha, Neb., where she married Robert Neary.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but most of all her four grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren; sisters, Clara and her husband, Ron Hunter of Le Mars, and Marcia and her husband, Dave Bradley of Avoca; a brother, Darrel Sams and his wife, Phyllis of Omaha, Neb.; stepmother Juanita Sams of Le Mars; and three step-siblings; a niece, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a brother, David Sams and a nephew, Thomas Nilles.

A family service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Omaha.
