MRS. DORA PETERSEN

Mrs. Dora Petersen, 77, formerly of the Merrill community, died Wednesday afternoon at the Sacred Heart Hospital after a sickness of several years.

Mrs. Petersen was born January 28, 1880, in Denmark, and came to America when 3. She lived at Harlan, Ia., from 1894 until 1912, when she moved with her husband to Merrill and farmed until 1947.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. John Knecht and Mrs. George Schulz of Akron, Mrs. Luverne Schulz of Merrill, Mrs. Henry Husiman of Meriden, Ia., Mrs. Leroy Schulz of LeMars and Mrs. George Krause of LeMars; two adopted grandchildren, Lloyd Petersen of LeMars and Mrs. John Reimers of Danbury, Ia.; 31 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; a brother and a sister.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist church here, with Rev. Clifford Dean officiating. The Mauer Funeral Home directed services. Burial was in Hill-Side Cemetery, Merrill.
