DEAD AT AGE 80

Funeral for Robert Bernard Lake, 80, LeMars, retired Merrill dairy farmer, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Rev. Gordon Rhodes will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lake died Sunday (Jan. 6, 1985) at Brentwood Care Center, LeMars, where he had resided the last seven months.

He was born Aug. 13, 1904, in LeMars to Arthur and Mary Kramer Lake. His marriage to Mary Edwards took place Sept. 23, 1925, in Sioux City. He lived in the Merrill area where he was a dairy farmer. The couple later moved to LeMars.

Survivors are his wife, Mary, LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sally) Kirkman, Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Keehn, Hawarden; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Lake Jr., and a sister.
