LOCAL NEWS:
Vern Godfrey died Wednesday at the Zimmerman Home where he had been since taken ill. Previous to that he had lived at the county farm for two years, where he worked on the farm. He had no known relatives. Funeral services will be held at the Luken Funeral Home. Mr. Godfrey was 62 years of age on December 1.
