MERRILL, Iowa - Aaron Dean Peterson, 25, of rural Merrill died Thursday of accidental asphyxiation at his home in Merrill.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill. The Rev. Mark Harrington will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday with a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m. in Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mr. Peterson was born March 14, 1962, in Sioux City. He lived most of his life in Sioux City where he attended schools and graduated from East High School in 1980. He attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and had been employed at Terra Chemical at Merrill. He married Mary Ann Rolfes March 3, 1984, at Merrill.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joshua at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Peterson of Sioux City; four sisters, Valerie Jean of Minneapolis, Cyndi and Lana, both of Sioux City and Elizabeth of Le Mars; a brother, Richard of Phoenix, Ariz.; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Peterson of Whiting and paternal grandmother, Irene Sands of Hornick.
