Gert Siebens, 73, longtime Plymouth county farmer and Brunsville resident died Saturday, March 23, at Sacred Heart hospital after several years of illness.

He was born, Sept. 3, 1883, at Minok, Ill. and came to the Plymouth county area at the age of 12. He farmed until 1942 when he retired and moved to Brunsville. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church, Brunsville.

His marriage to Annie Reese took place Feb. 12, 1908, at Le Mars. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Farrel (Tillie) Harrington of Brusnville, two grandsons, Vernon and Loren, three sisters, Mrs. Dena Fisher of Brunsville, Mrs. Minnie Borchers, of Ireton, and Mrs. John (Lena) Johnson of Le Mars, and a brother, John of Brunsville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Miller and Mrs. Sena Plueger, and a brother Claus.
