Jeanne Ann Wolterman Mortenson, age 77, beloved wife of Royce Mortenson of Cherokee, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, after a brief illness.

The former Jeanne Heithoff, she was born Dec. 15, 1931, in Roselle, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Mary Heithoff.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Royce; her sons, Craig Wolterman and his wife Margot of Sugar Land, Texas and Scott Wolterman and his wife Valerie of Sugar Land, Texas; her daughter Lisa Walcott and her husband Roland of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Marlene Sommerer of Omaha, Neb., and Rita Hogan of Omaha, Neb.; one brother Duane Heithoff and his wife Pat of Urbandale; three grandchildren, Daniel Wolterman, Christy Wolterman and Jack Walcott, and two step-grandchildren, Robert Bueno and Steven Bueno and his wife Sarah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George Wolterman and son Timothy Wolterman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, 102 North Elm St., with a reception following the service.
