Hannah Margaret Tucker, 102, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at a Sioux City care center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chuck Rager officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born Johanna Margaret Mammen, the daughter of H. John and Tena (Kruse) Mammen, in Grant Township, Plymouth County. She grew up on a farm in Grant Township.
She married Elmer John Tucker on Jan. 22, 1925, in Grant Township, Plymouth County, Iowa. The couple farmed in Plymouth County until 1944, when they moved to Sioux City. She was employed at several restaurants and hotels.
Survivors include three daughters, Elnora Jenkins, Mersella and her husband, Charles Estochen, and Margaret and her husband, Darrell Neely, all of Sioux City; two sons and their wives, Merlin and Frances of Sioux City and Eldon "Doc" and Tottie of Dakota City; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, on July 4, 1972, in Sioux City; a sister, Clara Ludwigs; and a son-in-law, Alfred Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
