DEBORAH PASHAN DIES OF POLIO

Deborah Kay Pashan, 16 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pashan of Leeds, formerly of Lincoln Township, died last week Tuesday of polio in a Sioux City hospital. She had been a patient there for three days in a critical condition and was placed in an iron lung.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 24, at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township, with the Rev. H.D. Stahmer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The child was born April 6, 1951, in Sioux City.

Surviving besides her parents are two brothers, Dannie and Dean; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sitzmann, and grandmother, Mrs. Fred Pashan.
