JOHN FRANK LONG
John Frank Long, 81, a resident of Plymouth County, Ia., most of his life, died Sunday at his home in Struble after about 5 months illness.
Mr. Long was a retired rural mail carrier. He was born December 6, 1874, in Illinois. He came as a child to Plymouth County with his parents. He married Dora Mae Smith July 7, 1897, at LeMars, Ia.
Survivors are the widow; five daughters, Mrs. Ernest Hani of Yankton, Mrs. Maynard Dobbert of LeMars, Mrs. Ray Diller of Marshalltown, Ia., Mrs. Clark Bolser of Cedar Falls, Ia., and Mrs. Bernard Anderson, of Sioux City; four sons, George of Mission Hill, S.D., Roy and Chester, both of Struble, and Francis of LeMars; a sister; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauer funeral home at LeMars. Rev. M.L. Straube will officiate. Burial will be in a LeMars cemetery.
