LE MARS, Iowa -- Michael H. Rollinger, 59, of Algoma, Wis., formerly of Le Mars, passed away suddenly Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars, with the Rev. Gary Landsness of St. John's Lutheran Church of Le Mars officiating. Visitation will be one prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Michael Harry Rollinger was born on Jan. 26, 1944, in Le Mars, the son of Donald and Gwendolyn (Reynolds) Rollinger. He was raised and educated in Le Mars.
On June 20, 1965, Michael and Nancy J. Forslund were united in marriage at Akron, Iowa. They moved to Minnesota in 1977, and later to their present home in Algoma in 1996. Michael was employed as a food inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy of Algoma; his daughter, Heather of Minneapolis, Minn; a son, Nathan and his wife, Maria of Minneapolis; his father, Donald of Le Mars; two brothers, David of Le Mars, and Tim and his wife, Beth of Brunsville, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Linda Rollinger Mayrose of Le Mars; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn; and a brother, Chuck.
