MOVILLE, Iowa -- Harvey L. Robinson, 84, of Kingsley, Iowa, formerly of the Moville area, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moville United Methodist Church in Moville, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Mr. Robinson was born June 5, 1918, on a farm half way between Anthon, Iowa and Moville, the son of Lester J. and Hazel B. (McClaren) Robinson. He had lived around the Moville area all of his life until moving to Kingsley in September 2002. He started schooling in a country school until the family moved into Moville, where he attended Moville schools. He began working as a farm laborer. He also worked in a gravel pit near Denison, Iowa, for a couple of years.

He then started driving trucks for many years, working for Woodbury County some and had his own lunch wagon that he set up at farm sales and other activities. His family called him the "Jack of All Trades and Master of Love."

He married Bernice Louise Bush on March 29, 1940, in Dakota City. She died in 1985, in Moville. He then married Edyth Clegg on June 5, 1986, in Elk Point, S.D.

He was a member of Moville United Methodist Church, South Sioux City Eagles Club and the Moville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed any and all activities he ever took part in.

He is survived by his wife, Edyth R. Robinson of Kingsley; three daughters, Bernice Lea and her husband, John Groth, of Spearville, Kan., Patty June Robinson of Sioux City and Susan Clegg of Kingsley; a son and his wife, Dale and Terry Clegg of Bloomington, Minn.; two brothers and their wives, Neal and Lou Robinson of Crystal, Minn., and Tom and Dee Comstock of Hinton, Iowa; five grandchildren, Doug (Jenny) Groth of Fairfield, Ohio, Bob (Stephanie) Groth of Dodge City, Kan., Jim (Sue) Groth of Dodge City, Kan., Jeremy Clegg of Bloomington, Minn., Megan (Chad) Carlson of St. Louis Park, Minn.; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jamie, Brian, Brett, Amy, Tyler and Hunter; and an uncle, John Robinson of Kingsley, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy.

Pallbearers will be Doug, Bob and Jim Groth, Lorne Benish, Jeremy Clegg and Chad Carlson.
