KINGSLEY, Iowa - Cecil R. Robinson, 81, of Kingsley died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Kingsley, with the Rev. Robert Blair officiating. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home, Kingsley.

Cecil was born Feb. 28, 1923, at Humansville, Mo., the son of James and Alma (Frahrenking) Robinson. As a young child, his family moved to the Kingsley area. He attended school at the Union Township and Kingsley schools. He married Dorothy Meister on Feb. 26, 1949, in Sioux City. They lived on a farm northeast of Kingsley where Cecil farmed until his retirement in 1985. In 1986, the couple moved to Kingsley. Cecil was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Kingsley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was farming.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Kingsley; one sister, Evelyn Dunn of Truman, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Robinson of Remsen, Iowa; one brother-in-law and his wife, Edwin and Jan Meister and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Glen Robinson and Lavern Robinson.
