Larry E. Parker, 62, of Sioux City died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with Lorna Peters, Chaplain at St. Luke's Hospital officiating . Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Larry E. Parker was born Sept. 13, 1941 in Akron, Iowa, the son of Lester and Arvilla M. (Oakes) Parker. He grew up and attended grade school and graduated from Akron High School. He moved to Sioux City in 1959.

Larry married Linda Lee Beeck on March 23, 1963. He worked for Wilson Trailer as a machinist for 23 years.

Larry's hobbies included fishing, ball games, camping and spending time with his children, grandchildren and dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Michael Parker and Mark and his wife, Ruth Parker; a daughter, Sundee and her husband, Jeff Anderson, all of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Christopher, Kristin, Jamie, Alexandria and Casey; three sisters; and a brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jack Strong, Dennis Beeck, Jim Richters, Rick Lebke, Matt Anderson and Dave Anderson.
