Gale was killed when the car he was driving left Highway 12 and crashed into a 12-ft ditch.
Riding with Gale was James Kelly, 22, also of Akron. He was taken to St. Vincent’s hospital in Sioux City by the Sioux Ambulance service and was termed in “critical” condition following the accident.
