MRS. CLARK DIES BEFORE SHE’S 103

Relatives here have learned of the death of Mrs. Scott Clark, formerly of LeMars who recently lived in Monrovia, California, just preceding her 103rd birthday anniversary. She passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 1959. She would have been 103 on February 14.

Mrs. Clark was the oldest member of the Presbyterian church here. She is the mother of Mrs. Earl Thurber of Monrovia with whom she made her home and Mrs. Walter Aird of LeMars and the late Mrs. John Langendorfer. She lived at 116 N. Madison Ave., Monrovia, California.

Tentative plans for funeral services are for Monday, February 16, at Mauer’s Funeral Home, with burial in the LeMars City Cemetery.

Obituary: Mrs. Scott Clark

Funeral services for Mrs. Wren Scott Clark, who would have been 103 years old February 14, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mauer funeral home. Burial was in the City Cemetery. Mrs. Clark died Tuesday at Monrovia, Cal., where she resided the last four years.

Mrs. Clark was born February 14, 1856, at LaGrange, Ill. She came to this community in 1880 and was married to Mr. Clark. He died at the age of 82 in 1937.

She celebrated her 100th Birthday at Monrovia, where she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Earl Thurber, the last four years.

Other survivors are three daughters; Mrs. Walter Aird of LeMars, Mrs. Paul of Muskogee, Okla., and Marian Clark of San Francisco, Cal.; and three sons, Walter of Waseca, Minn., Kenneth of Medford, Ore., and Rev. Lloyd Clark of Watertown, N.Y.
